Our story
The Euphrates Climate Foundation (ECF) is a non-governmental organization founded in 2019 and officially registered in 2022. ECF operates as a non-political, non-profit organization working at the intersection of climate justice, gender equality, public health, and community resilience. Our work is grounded in rights-based, evidence-driven, and community-owned approaches, with particular attention to women, girls, youth, and displaced populations affected by climate stress, conflict, and socio-economic exclusion. Headquartered in Abuja, with a branch office in Makurdi, Benue State, the Foundation works closely with grassroots groups, young people, women leaders, and local institutions to build sustainable, climate-responsive communities.

Welcome to Euphrates Climate Foundation.
We founded Euphrates Climate Foundation with the belief that we all have our primary responsibilities and the ability to build something sustainable for humanity.
"Every generation has their monumental challenge and ours is climate change." The ravaging effects of climate change on our communities is no longer a distant reality. From environmental degradation and food insecurity to poverty and extreme weather events, millions are facing the consequences. Yet within these challenges lies the opportunity for innovation, collaboration and transformation.
At ECF, we are committed to leading climate justice and driving gender equality through advocacy, sustainability initiatives, research, education and community-centered solutions. Meaningful impact happens when people, institutions and ideas come together with shared purpose.
